  7. The Lakota shell is a new concept in UNIX shells. It provides a convenient way
  8. for software developers to build applications or tie applications together
  9. using the Lakota integration language. The shell can execute commands directly
  10. from the user and enable the user to execute sophisticated shell scripts from
  11. either files or memory locations where they can be created ''on the fly'' by
  12. applications

  14. The Lakota shell enables you to have a common user interface on all platforms
  15. from a variety of vendors with a variety of operating systems. The Lakota shell
  16. is a UNIX shell whose interface command language is the Lakota language. Lakota
  17. shell commands are either predefined Lakota language elements, underlying host
  18. operating system commands, or user-defined commands (see the Lakota language
  19. description).
